Maximising the efficiency of packing lines
The AccuFill void fill measurement system is used alongside the FillPak, and revolutionizes in-box packaging by automatically controlling the amount of void fill used and the speed of the packing operation.
The system scans the box and automatically determines how much packing material is needed to fill the void. It then signals the Ranpak converter to generate that exact amount of material.
The system uses a sensor array mounted over a conveyor line to scan the boxes as they come down the line, determining its size and measuring the amount of packaging material needed to fill the void. A signal to the FillPak converter then enables the exact amount of paper needed to be dispensed. Usage amounts are recorded so the user can review the cost associated with a shift, a week or a month of production.
